The Merion is one of South Jersey’s premier wedding venues in Cinnaminson, NJ. We have worked with them this wedding season and we were astounded by the amazing architecture and very elegant design. The staff and service were incredible and very top notch, one of the best venues in South Jersey.

Here are some things to consider when researching your Cinnaminson or Philadelphia Wedding Venue.

Location and Accessibility.

Is the venue easy to find? Consider it especially if you have a lot of guests coming from out of state. If you are getting married outside an urban area, then getting to and parking is generally not a problem as most facilities have a dedicated parking space that are enough to accommodate a lot of attendees. But if you are getting married in a downtown setting, then that is a factor that should be considered for your guests. Most of the time shuttle service is available with the venue to take care of that issue.

Style and Appearance

Make sure that the look and feel of the venue corresponds to the type of event you want for your day. Is it a traditional one? Garden Ceremony or Indoor? Very formal or informal? These are things that will help you narrow down your search and take out choices on your list that does not match the style of your event.

Space.

The venue space may look huge when it is empty, but when all the chairs, tables, bar are set up. It may leave not enough room for guests to move around and enjoy. Also. keeping track of the guest count can be stressful at times, especially on a budget. No matter how big or small the guests list will be, the wedding venue has to be able to hold capacity to your projected number of guests. This will ensure there will be no frantic panicking if an extra 20 guests show up unexpectedly which happens a lot often.

Lighting.

Lighting affects the mood and feel of the space.  Adequate lighting should be available, if you have a night time which can be controlled for the entrance, dancing, etc. so it is not too dim. Or if daytime event, that there will be a good amount of windows to illuminate the room.

Place to relax

Sometimes the wedding day can be really hectic especially if you have a lot of guests. It is really nice to know that you have this available at your wedding venue in case you have to change outfit’s or just take a breathe from the whole experience and soak in the moment.

Full Service or not.

Some venues just offers the space and the rest of the vendors you will have to fill up whereas to a full service venue will have everything from table to chair rentals, etc. Some venue require their own vendors which may not allow you to look around for your most preferred vendor in each category. Make sure that you are comfortable with their staff and they are courteous, professional and hospitable to guests. So that anything on the wedding day can be addressed
