Nature is such a tricky one to figure out. The forecast could change in an instant. On the way to Grounds for Sculpture, I keep looking at the sky and hoping it would just open up and give us some sunshine for the rest of the day. Instead, it was a cloudy, overcast day in New Jersey at Grounds for Sculpture, and impending rain set to fall later. We were left with no choice but to work around through it to get some awesome engagement photos of Chrissy and Merk.

This couple and yours truly were really on the same page and were all about getting some amazing images. With a summer wedding on schedule for this year, we opted to have their engagement session in the spring to get a nice look in terms of the variety of their whole marital experience. This first two looks of their shoot were done at Grounds for Sculpture, which incorporated a nice, clean natural look. It represented them best as an everyday couple.

The second look featured peacocks, yes you heard right. They roamed freely within the vicinity of grounds for sculpture. And our bride Chrissy picked her look to match the colors of these prestigious birds.

And was we wrapped up our shoot, on our way back to Philadelphia we took some shots close to South St. Bridge to get some nice unique looking city shots while our couple featured their elegant evening looks! Chrissy wore a nice burgundy sequin dress and Merk complemented it with his bowtie and a stylish black suit. Both were striking in their outfits as you can see from our signature shot from below!

That was such a fun day and we were so proud of the results! Grounds for Sculpture was an amazing place for contemporary art and definitely a great spot to shoot again in the future! Enjoy the slideshow from their shoot!
