A beautiful summer day, Memorial Day weekend, heading over for brunch at Old City, it felt like it was going to be a normal Saturday right? Nope, that day was going to be a much more memorable one for our couple Arielle and Ryan.

Memorial Day Engagement

As Ryan planned his proposal, he had the idea of it being at a very special spot. Which is where they had their first kiss, at a corner of two streets in Old City Philadelphia by the Sassafras Market.

It was so great that it was planned before their vacation trip, which gave Arielle the hint that it was going to happen there.

Because when it comes to engagement proposals, for guys it is always tough to keep the element of surprise. There has to be a diversion plan most of the time to make the moment even more special.

Even with a busy street with pedestrians, cars, buses, and segway riders, all went according to plan, and we are so happy for this newly engaged couple!

And after she said yes, we went around Elfreth’s Alley, and the surrounding area in Old City before meeting their family and friends at a nearby bar and start the celebration!

We always love to tell the story in a complete way. So here is a slideshow of how it all happened through a creative director’s eyes.
